Major Arcana · VII
The Chariot
Hold the reins of your opposing forces and move.
The imagery
An armored figure stands in a chariot beneath a canopy of stars, a city at their back. Two sphinxes, one black and one white, sit before the chariot pulling in different directions, yet there are no reins; the driver steers by will alone. Crescent moons on the shoulders echo Cancer, the protective shell that lets a tender heart travel far.
Upright
determination · victory · momentum · self-mastery · direction
You are ready to move forward with purpose, and success is within reach if you stay focused. The Chariot shows that victory comes from harnessing your contradictions rather than eliminating them: your doubt and your drive, your softness and your strength. Decide where you are going and commit your energy there. Momentum builds once you stop negotiating with yourself.
Reversed
lack of direction · aggression · inner conflict · stalling
You may feel pulled in two directions at once, spinning your wheels or forcing progress through sheer stubbornness. Frustration is a sign that your inner forces need to be reconciled, not overpowered. Pause and get clear on the true destination. When intention is unified, effort becomes far lighter.
In love
Taking the initiative pays off, whether that is pursuing someone you are drawn to or steering a relationship through a challenge together. Stay steady and keep your heart protected but open.
In work
Ambitious goals are achievable with discipline and focus. This is a strong time for competitions, deadlines and pushing a project across the finish line.
Advice
Write down where you want to be in three months, then cut one distraction that pulls you off that road.
