Two of Cups

Two cups raised, two gazes meeting. Something is mutual.

The imagery

Two figures face each other and exchange cups, pledging something. Above them floats the caduceus of Hermes, topped by a winged lion's head. The caduceus represents healing and balanced exchange, and the lion speaks of passion. Together they suggest a bond where attraction and respect flow in both directions.

Upright

partnership · mutual attraction · union · connection · reciprocity

A real connection is forming, one where you feel seen and you see the other person clearly too. This might be romance, friendship, or a creative partnership, but the key word is mutual. Neither of you is performing. Trust the ease you feel; it is telling you something true.

Reversed

imbalance · disconnection · broken trust · self-love needed

The balance in a connection may have tipped, with one person giving more, or communication has broken down. Sometimes this card reversed points inward, asking you to repair your relationship with yourself before looking for harmony elsewhere. Ask what each of you actually needs, and listen without defending.

In love

Soulful attraction and equal partnership. A strong sign for romance, reconciliation, or deepening commitment.

In work

A promising collaboration or partnership. Seek out people whose values match yours.
